MOVE GUIDELINESCompany must have 3-7 days prior notice of move day in making any major changes to the inventory, conditions, locations, as well as the scheduled date/time. Since we can not make any deductions on move day for any reason you must call our office at the very least by 2pm one business day prior in making any minor changes or alterations to scheduled move. Canceling or postponing moves after 3-days prior to move date may result in a forfeiture of any deposits or monies paid. A 25% administration fee will be assessed against any deposits returned prior to 3-days of move date.
Since price is only as accurate as info given, here are preparations for saving money. For lowest price, all items must be disassembled/disconnected, furniture drawers and cabinets emptied of its contents as well as everything cleared off & ready-to-go. Boxes, bags, or totes must be sealed on top & bottom, and marked accordingly. For movers' convenience please secure or reserve a close parking space, & elevators if required.
***EXPLANATION OF EXTRA FEES, CONDITIONS & BOX SIZES*** *Additional fees for an itemized rate job are: extra items, extra flights of stairs, long walks, disassembling or disconnecting of furniture or doors, special handling, hoisting, and any other types of inconvenience or delays not caused by Carrier. *Handling fees will apply for any items that are of large value, size, and/or weight. CONDITIONS: Min. 6-8 steps =1-flight of stairs, stairs that turn = 2-flights, over 13- steps = 1 ½ to 2-flights of stairs, 3-5 steps per set may count as a ½ flight. 35-walking paces = 100-feet. Elevator usage is assessed as equivalent to 4-flights. BOX SIZES:
If you need to cancel, postpone, or reschedule your move, you'll need to do so before 3-days of your move date in order retain a portion of your deposit. Payment is due upon unload by: Cash, Money Orders, travelers checks, Cashier Checks, & Credit Cards.
On move day, in order to prevent any problems or delays we ask that you do not leave the move. *Last but not least, if you choose to be generous to the movers in tipping them for their superior service, a good tipping guideline is 15-20% for movers to split.
Budget Movers, Inc. will be held harmless from damages or loss resulting from moving any item/s where maneuverability is of a high risk, and anything else the contract terms & conditions excludes.
